True to its mission to enrich the London Business School experience by ways of education and exposure to the black culture and community at large, the Black in Business club is organizing an art exhibition centered on Black Beauty and Excellence here on our campus.
This exhibition is offered to you by the Black in Business student club at LBS in partnership with Pavillon54, a digital platform and community for modern and contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora.
It presents 15 original artworks from artists from African and Afro-descents around the theme: “Black Beauty, Pride and Excellence”.
The art exhibition showcases different representations of Black culture and community with a focus on the positivity of black people to conjure the sometimes-negative representation and other stigmas around blackness in mainstream media. It also illustrates the willingness from black people around the world to reclaim their own narrative and tell a different story – a positive one –, as is happening in the global art world today,
When: It will be open to the public from March 16th until April 2nd, 2023, with an opening night event happening on March 16th, 2023, from 7pm to 10pm.
Where: London Business School - North Building.
