Rebecca Oliver-Mooney

Commercial Director
The Co-op

Rebecca Oliver-Mooney (ROM) is the Founder of Raising the Glass, an award-winning community, platform and movement championing diversity, equity and belonging in the drinks industry and beyond. What began as a simple idea, to create braver, more honest conversations, has grown into a powerful ecosystem spanning events, a podcast, mentoring, an incubator for women-founded brands, and partnerships with some of the UK’s most influential businesses and leaders.

Known for her warm, straight-talking and deeply human approach, ROM speaks with clarity and conviction about leadership, allyship, advocacy, inclusion, purpose-led growth and building cultures where people genuinely feel they belong. Her work through Raising the Glass focuses on turning intention into action, creating spaces where people can listen better, challenge respectfully and drive meaningful change together.

Alongside Raising the Glass, ROM also founded Rewrite the Story, a consultancy and creative space that blends insight, strategy and storytelling to help organisations, founders and leaders articulate what they stand for, make better decisions and build more human, inclusive cultures.

She brings over two decades of senior commercial and leadership experience in FMCG and retail, including her former role as Director of Commercial at Co-op, where she led large, complex categories and was instrumental in advancing ethical sourcing, Fairtrade leadership, support for small and under-represented businesses, and purpose-driven commercial strategy. ROM also sits on the Board of the UK Deposit Management Organisation, helping shape the future of the UK’s Deposit Return Scheme and is the Strategy & Insights Director at Hip Pop, where she brings together commercial insight, consumer understanding and brand storytelling to support long-term, purpose-led growth.

Whether speaking on a main stage, hosting intimate roundtables or chairing panels, ROM combines commercial credibility with lived experience, vulnerability and optimism, leaving audiences energised, challenged and inspired to do things differently.
