Her debut novel was a Today Show Book Club pick, a BBC Radio 4 Book Club pick, and was shortlisted for multiple prestigious awards. Translated into over 22 languages and taught in schools and institutions worldwide, her work continues to spark critical conversations on education, empowerment, and resilience.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Abi spent 16 years delivering multimillion-pound projects with global brands such as HP, Virgin Atlantic, and Pearson. Now, she leverages her expertise in business and storytelling to help companies craft compelling narratives that connect with their audiences. She has worked with Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School, providing valuable insights into storytelling in leadership and business.
In recognition of her contributions to literature and advocacy, she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2024. She is also the founder of the Louding Voice Educational and Empowerment Foundation, a nonprofit established in 2023 to provide scholarships to young girls in rural Nigeria, furthering her commitment to education and social impact.
