Ibukun Awosika is an entrepreneur, a business executive, gender empowerment activist, author, and an ordained pastor. She was the first woman and immediate past Chairman of the First Bank of Nigeria and was the first Nigerian recipient of the prestigious International Women Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award as a nominee of the US Department of State in 2008. She is the co-founder and past chairperson of Women in Business, Management and Public Service (WIMBIZ), a Nigeria-based not for profit focused on improving women representation in business. She also founded the Christian Missionary Fund, a faith-based organization that works with hundreds of missionaries across Nigeria to change lives with the provision of medical, educational, and other supplies. She also worked as the executive producer of the movie "God's Calling" and has authored several books including "The Girl Entreprenuers" and "Business His Way."
