Frederik Meheus is Head of International Retail Technology and is responsible for delivering commercial innovations to BlackRock's retail and iShares distribution capabilities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America.

Frederik joined BlackRock in 2002 as Retail Sales Manager for Benelux where he was responsible for the distribution of BlackRock funds via banks, insurance companies and fund of funds. Frederik went on to become Head of Retail Sales Benelux in 2004 and took over responsibility for BlackRock's Geneva business in 2007 and in 2010 he became Head of Distribution for EMEA Retail Alternatives. In 2011, Frederik was appointed Co-Head of EMEA Retail Sales, responsible for distribution of retail products across EMEA - Active and Passive Mutual funds, Multi-Asset funds and Alternatives to EMEA Banks, Insurers, Multi-Managers, Family Offices and Wealth Managers.

Prior to joining BlackRock, Frederik was responsible for 3rd party fund selection at KBC Bank and Insurance and was a member of the fund creation committee. Frederik has a Masters' in applied economic science from the University of Leuven in 1996.
