Jing Li is the head of energy investment at the African Development Bank, where she leads a team of 15 professionals responsible for private sector energy investments across the continent. A passionate development banker, Jing brings over 16 years of experience in project finance, corporate finance, and private equity, with deep expertise in renewable energy, power, and transport infrastructure.

Throughout her career, Jing has successfully originated, structured, and negotiated 19 transactions totaling over USD 1.6 billion. Her work spans 17 African countries and includes a diverse range of instruments such as debt, equity, blended finance, syndications, guarantees, and advisory services.

Prior to joining the African Development Bank, Jing worked as a consultant at the World Bank, where she managed a renewable energy trust fund, supported lending operations, and advised governments on energy sector policy and regulatory frameworks.

Jing holds a Bachelor's degree from the Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and an Executive MBA from London Business School.
